Banjieta Tower

Banjieta Tower is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Banjieta Tower, located in the northeast corner of Banjieta Town, Weichang County, within the campus of Banjieta Primary School and next to the teaching building of Banjieta Middle School, 37.5 kilometers from the county seat. The base of the tower covers an area of 100 square meters, with a height of 40 meters. The base is square-shaped, measuring 10 meters on each side and 8 meters in height. The tower is hollow and circular, a standalone structure made of brick, wood, and stone. The front of the tower features a round arched gate, finely crafted and built from bluish-gray stone. The base has three layers of brickwork supporting the oval-shaped main body of the tower. Each level has an arched gate on the front. The top of the tower is adorned with a treasure-ball-shaped spire.

In May 2013, Banjieta Tower was designated as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Banjieta Village: Banjieta Village in Banjieta Town is the seat of the Banjieta Town People's Government and serves as the central market town in western Weichang. National Highway 111 and the Bai-Ban Road intersect in the village. The village covers a total social area of 19,540 mu, comprises 12 residential groups, and has a total of 716 households with a population of 2,915. The main industries include private businesses, cattle farming, vegetable cultivation, and corn production.
