Zhuan Shan Lake

Zhuan Shan Lake Scenic Area is located in Fuyingzi Township, Luanping County, Hebei Province, situated in the middle section of the Yanshan Mountain Range, adjacent to the Beijing-Chengde Tourist Highway. To the north, it connects with the world-renowned Chengde Mountain Resort and the Eight Outer Temples, while to the south lies the majestic Jinshanling Great Wall. Both nearby attractions complement each other while offering unique scenery, making it an ideal destination for tourists from home and abroad to sightsee and enjoy leisure holidays.

The scenic area spans 1,500 acres, with an average elevation of 1,000 meters. Its main peak, Baicaowa, stands at 1,750 meters above sea level and is known as the sister peak of Wuling Mountain, hailed as the “First Peak East of Beijing.” It is 188 kilometers west of Beijing and 31 kilometers east of Chengde. Zhuan Shan Lake Scenic Area is celebrated for its lush water and grasslands, dense forests, alpine meadows, murmuring streams, and peculiar peaks and rocks. It shines as a pearl along the Beijing–Chengde tourist route and is praised as the “Huangshan of Northern Beijing.”

By Bus: Take a bus from Luanping County bound for Fuyingzi or Chengde City, get off at Fuyingzi, and then transfer to a minibus to reach Zhuan Shan Lake Scenic Area.

By Car: From Luanping County, take Provincial Road 353 to the intersection with National Highway 45 (Beijing–Chengde Expressway) or National Highway 101. You can then drive eastward on G45 or G101 toward Fuyingzi. From Fuyingzi, follow the road signs southward to arrive at the scenic area.
