Hailiutu National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Hebei Fengning Hailiutu National Wetland Park is located in the Bashang area of Fengning County, Chengde City, adjacent to Guyuan County of Zhangjiakou City. It has a planned total area of 2,160.1 hectares, including 859 hectares of wetland. The Hailiutu Wetland is the upper reaches of the Lightning River and features typical Bashang plateau wetland characteristics. Together with Guyuan County, it belongs to the Lightning River basin, holding significant ecological importance. In 2015, it was recognized as part of the important wetlands of Bashang in Zhangjiakou.

Hailiutu Wetland Park is a natural wetland ecosystem dominated by meadows and rivers. The well-known First Grassland of Northern Beijing is located within the park. Covering a total area of 32,000 mu, the Lightning River runs through the center of the park. The park boasts abundant water resources and rich flora and fauna, with a total of 202 species of wild plants and 167 species of birds, including 3 nationally protected species such as the black stork and golden eagle, and 27 other nationally protected species such as the little swan, mandarin duck, and steppe eagle. In addition, the park is also characterized by its profound historical and cultural heritage and the distinctive folk customs resulting from the blending of Manchu and Mongolian cultures.
