Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area

The Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area is located in Pingquan City, Chengde, Hebei Province.

The Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area is affiliated with Chengde Bishu Shanzhuang Enterprise Group Co., Ltd., and is located on Yingbin Street in Pingquan City, Hebei Province, occupying a central position in the city. The scenic area has been under construction since 2009 with a total investment of 340 million yuan. It is one of the four industrial parks built in Pingquan City in recent years and also a key construction project in Hebei Province. After years of careful development by the Shanzhuang Laojiu Group, it has now initially formed a landscape distribution of "one core, two axes, and three zones."

The "one core" refers to the comprehensive service center of the Shanzhuang Group.

The "two axes" are the Kangxi Imperial Path Landscape Axis and the Kangzhuang Avenue Landscape Axis.

The "three zones" consist of the Chinese Royal Liquor Culture Exhibition Area, the Scientific Research and Sightseeing Experience Area, and the Shanzhuang 1950 Industrial Heritage Protection Area.

These include tourist attractions such as the Chinese Royal Liquor Culture Museum, the Chinese Royal Liquor Culture Square, imperial totem poles related to liquor, an ancient stele forest of poems about liquor by emperors throughout the ages, the enterprise’s technology research and development center, ecological fermentation pits, an underground wine cellar with constant temperature and humidity, an advanced liquor blending workshop, a liquor bottling production line, the country’s first robotic liquor palletizing system, high-tech three-dimensional warehouses, as well as historical scenes from the old factory area such as the "Yidi Ancient Well," the "Yongtai Spring" old distillery workshop, and the weathered old wine cellars that showcase the former production and daily life.

Since 2015, the Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area has gradually begun receiving visitors. On the Chinese Royal Liquor Culture Square within the factory premises, the comprehensive office building shaped like the Four Rams Square Zun and the museum shaped like a wine cup have attracted numerous visitors with their unique "round sky and square earth" design, becoming iconic structures in Pingquan City. In 2018, the park was designated as an "Hebei Provincial Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site" by the Hebei Provincial Tourism Resources Planning and Development Quality Evaluation Committee, making it the only provincial-level industrial tourism demonstration site approved in Hebei Province in eight years. In 2019, the Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park project passed the landscape quality review for a 4A-level tourist attraction. This official approval as a 4A-level scenic area has initiated a new model of industrial tourism for the Shanzhuang Laojiu Group.

On May 21, 2020, after a comprehensive evaluation organized by the Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism following due process, and with the public announcement completed on May 15, 2020, the Shanzhuang Laojiu Cultural Industry Park Scenic Area was officially designated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
