Lingxiao Terrace

Lingxiao Terrace is located within Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park and is a core attraction on the western route of Tianmen Mountain. Together with Yunmeng Fairy Peak, it is one of the two main scenic viewpoints on Tianmen Mountain. Legend has it that Tianmen Mountain is a sacred peak between the mortal and immortal realms, where celestial beings often descend to admire the earthly scenery. Lingxiao Terrace is said to be the first stop for the immortals when they visit Tianmen Mountain.

The terrace sits at an exceptionally high elevation, surrounded by swirling clouds, giving visitors a sensation of soaring into the sky. The sweeping views offer a distant glimpse of downtown Zhangjiajie and the surrounding landscape, with layered mountains creating a scene reminiscent of a fairyland. It is hailed as “Soaring Vista,” and is one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Tianmen Mountain.

Opening Hours:

Follow the opening hours of Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park. Peak season (March 1 – November 30): 8:00–18:00 (ticket sales stop at 16:30); off-peak season (December 1 – February 28 of the following year): 8:30–18:00 (ticket sales stop at 16:00).

Transportation

1. Within Zhangjiajie city, take bus routes 4, 6, or 10 to reach the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car lower station.

2. Within the scenic area, you can take the cable car to reach Lingxiao Terrace.

No separate ticket required

Included in the Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park ticket. Peak season (March 1 – November 30): 258 RMB; off-peak season (December 1 – end of February): 225 RMB. Tickets include the round-trip cable car and eco-friendly shuttle bus. Does not include the mountaintop forest sightseeing cable car.
