Beijing Garden Expo Park, the venue of the 9th China International Garden Expo, is located along the Yongding River green ecological development belt in southwestern Beijing’s Fengtai District. Covering a total area of 267 hectares, it stretches from the new right embankment of the Yongding River in the east to Ying Mountain Park in the west, and from Meishikou Road in the south to Lianshi West Road in the north. Built along the Yongding River, it echoes the historic Lugou Ancient Bridge, boasting a rich historical and cultural atmosphere, diverse terrain, and picturesque landscapes of mountains and water that make it quite distinctive.

Beijing Garden Expo Park features a spatial layout of “one axis, two points, three belts, and five gardens.” The one axis refers to the Garden Expo Axis that runs east-west; the two points are the Garden Museum and the Exquisite Valley; the three belts are three green landscape corridors extending from the West Zone of Zhongguancun Science Park Fengtai Park into the expo park; the five gardens are five core exhibition areas with distinct characteristics: the Traditional Garden, Modern Garden, Creative Garden, Ecological Garden, and International Garden.

Beijing Garden Expo Park will construct China’s first Garden Museum integrating multiple technological elements, serving as a platform to comprehensively showcase the latest achievements in China’s gardening industry and the full spectrum of garden art development. The construction of Beijing Garden Expo Park will adopt various methods to enhance interactivity and visitor participation, promoting green, ecological, and environmental concepts across society. It will also highlight the scientific and rational use of energy-saving and eco-friendly materials, technologies, and processes, as well as low-carbon technologies such as reclaimed water, solar energy, and wind power—making this another highlight of the park.
