Niangniang Palace is located at No. 1 Changxindian Primary School in Fengtai District and was designated as a district-level cultural heritage site in 1984.
Niangniang Palace is an architectural structure from the Qing Dynasty, being an ancient temple that faces east and is called Niangniang Palace. After the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement in 1919, the railway workers of Changxindian organized the Ten-Person Patriotic Salvation Corps and various federations here to support the struggle of patriotic students, carrying out activities such as —, street speeches, and —. In early 1920, the evening vernacular school founded by labor movement activists such as Shi Wenbin and Tao Shancong was relocated from Beiqiangfeng Hutong to this site. The Peking University Popular Education Speech Group, led by Deng Zhongxia, often came here to give lectures, playing a significant role in raising the awareness of the workers. Later, the workers' night school was converted into a labor remedial school and moved out of Niangniang Palace, which then became an important gathering place for the workers.
On May 1, 1921, thousands of workers gathered to celebrate their own holiday. The conference in August 1922 and the “February 7th” major strike in 1923 were both held as large gatherings at Niangniang Palace. After liberation, the gate tower and main hall of Niangniang Palace were demolished due to collapse and were rebuilt into the campus of Changxindian Town Central No. 1 Primary School. Currently, only the north and south side halls within the remaining site still retain their original appearance.
