China Space Museum

The China Space Museum is located in Donggaodi, Fengtai District, and is currently the largest exhibition window for China's aerospace technology. It was established in October 1992. It has been designated as a youth education base by both the Beijing Municipal People's Government and the Fengtai District People's Government.

The China Space Museum consists of several sections: the lobby, the main hall, the high-tech application achievements hall, and the specialized technical systems hall.

The main hall displays actual rockets and models of China's self-developed "Long March" series of launch vehicles. The satellite area features a range of satellites including "Fengyun-1," "Dongfanghong-1," and "Dongfanghong-2." The western part of the hall showcases a series of launch vehicle engines. In addition, there is an actual returned re-entry capsule from a space mission, and a simulation demonstrating the entire flight process of the "Long March 2" bundled rocket launching the Ausatellite.

The "Ancient Aerospace Exploration" section displays exquisitely crafted models of ancient astronomical instruments such as the "Armillary Sphere," "Degree Limit Instrument," and "Quadrant," as well as ancient "rockets" like the "Divine Rocket Screen," "One Nest Peak," and "Fire Dragon Emerging from Water," which played significant roles in ancient warfare, showcasing the achievements of ancient Chinese astronomical exploration.

The second-floor exhibition hall presents the application and promotion of high-tech aerospace achievements, while the third-floor exhibition hall introduces various specialized technical systems. The museum also has a fully equipped academic lecture hall that frequently hosts academic exchange activities.
