The former site of the Northern Hubei Hand Weaving Training Institute is a cultural heritage site protected by Hubei Province and a classic red tourism destination.

Located on Xiajie Street, Cihé Town, Gucheng County. Established in May 1939, it held three sessions in total, training over 200 students, recruiting more than 40 Party members, and supplying one million jin of military cotton yarn. It was shut down in 1941 after Kuomintang forces arrested Party member employees. The site was originally built in the early years of the Republic of China and was formerly the Kang family’s pawnshop. Existing structures include the gate tower, rear building, and surrounding walls. The Northern Hubei Hand Weaving Training Institute was another important cadre training school established by the Chinese Communist Party during the War of Resistance Against Japan, following the Tangchi Training Base, and was known as the “Anti-Japanese University of Northern Hubei.” (Fifth Batch)

Cihé Town: Cihé Town covers a total area of 184 square kilometers, with cultivated land spanning 1,367.4 hectares, including 1,064 hectares of paddy fields and 303.4 hectares of dry land. It administers 15 villages—Bailongmiao, Xiamoshi, Tao Wan, Houzhuang, Qianzhuang, Cheng’en Temple, Shizuizi, Miaogang, Shijingchong, Jinniusi, Hujiquan, Duancengou, Majiagou, Qing’anshan, and Yangcun—as well as the Cihé Subdistrict Community. The year-end total population was 20,873, including 18,995 agricultural residents and 11,075 males.
