Yuan'an Fossil Group Provincial Geopark

Yuan'an Fossil Group Provincial Geopark is the third provincial geopark in the province and the first in the city. Its core area includes Yingzi Mountain in Mingfeng Town, Maopingchang Village in Maopingchang Town, and Zhangjiawan in Hekou Township; the peripheral area covers sites such as Mingfeng Mountain, Luyuan Temple, Jinjiawan, Taiqing Cave, Guanyin Cave, and Huima Slope; the extended area features the Sinoceras fossils in Hehua Town, the Yan Chi River rockslide, Wangjia Strange Rock Slope, Linglong Gorge rafting, the primitive forest at Mapo Chang Dayan, and the large camellia house in Zhangmu, Hekou Township. The geopark also includes exhibition venues such as the Geological Specimens Museum and the Geological Section Museum.
