The Yuan'an Huilong Bay Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Yichang Huilong Bay Scenic Area is situated to the north within Yuan'an County, in Yangping Town, which is known as a "National Ecological Township" and was honored as the "First Most Beautiful Township in Jingchu Region." Huilong Bay derives its name from the Zishui River, which flows from east to west through Yangping before turning to flow from south to north. The waters of the Zishui are not as mirror-flat as those of Dongting Lake, nor as fiercely rushing as the Hukou Waterfall, but rather smooth with gentle ripples—reminiscent of the delicate silk unfurled by Leizu, who "toiled to establish the nation and dedicated her life to duty." The Zishui here lives up to the praise of Li Bai: "The clear stream soothes my heart; its water uniquely differs from other streams." The Zishui gathers mountain springs from all directions, and these springs are cool, sweet, and refreshing. Drawing some, adding sugar and vinegar, or using local ingredients to make cold jelly, all serve as excellent remedies for the summer heat. The scenic area around Huilong Bay boasts pleasant landscapes, with broad waters in the bay and the backdrop of Huilong Temple, as well as the nearby ancient town of Yangping and the Grand Canyon. It features profound cultural heritage and enchanting scenery.

The Yichang Huilong Bay Scenic Area is located within Yangping Town, Yuan'an County. The scenic area offers a variety of experiences including a power station tour, sightseeing at Huilong Temple, exploring the ancient street, venturing into the canyon, and staying at the Hulu Island Inn. It is the first water amusement project in Yuan'an County, having introduced nine cruise boats and constructed several boat docks, with additional supporting facilities currently under development.

The main activities at the Yichang Huilong Bay Scenic Area involve taking a boat ride along the Huilong Bay river to enjoy the scenic views on both banks. Visitors board the boat at the Shuanglu Power Station and travel upstream, admiring the beautiful landscapes along the Zishui River. Upon reaching the Xinglong Square Dock, they disembark and hike along the scenic walking trail up to the top of Huilong Temple, where they can overlook the entire ancient town of Yangping. After descending the mountain, they board the boat again to travel upstream to the Luxi Bay Shengtian Camping Base shallow-water recreation area, where they can engage in outdoor barbecues and camping. The scenic area also includes experiences such as a power station tour, sightseeing at Huilong Temple, exploring the ancient street, venturing into the canyon, and staying at the Hulu Island Inn.
