Taibai Port Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Taibai Port Bridge

Located on Taibai Port in Zhao Mountain Town, Liangzihu District, Ezhou City. It got its name because the poet Li Bai once visited here. The exact time of its initial construction is unknown, but it underwent multiple renovations during the Zhengde and Longqing eras of the Ming Dynasty, as well as the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods of the Qing Dynasty. This three-arch stone bridge has a total length of 28 meters and a width of 5 meters, with the main arch spanning 4.5 meters and the secondary arches 3.3 meters. It features continuous masonry construction, and the bridge body is equipped with cutwaters. There is an ancient well beneath the bridge. In 1927, after the Communist Party member Jiao Kunshan was killed, the reactionary forces displayed his severed head on the bridge’s merit stele for three days. This bridge is the oldest existing ancient bridge in Ezhou and serves as an important witness to the urban development of Ezhou, a historic and cultural city. (Fifth Batch)

Zhao Mountain Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Liangzihu District, Ezhou City. Established as Fanxiong Township in 1949, it was renamed Zhao Mountain Commune and Dongjing Commune in 1961, merged into Zhao Mountain Commune in 1975, and became a township in 1984. It is located in the central part of the district, on the eastern shore of Liangzihu Lake, 10 kilometers from the district government. Covering an area of 84 square kilometers with a population of 42,000, it is traversed by the Tie (Mountain)–He (Shengqiao) Highway.
