Li Siguang Memorial Hall

The Li Siguang Memorial Hall is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

The Li Siguang Memorial Hall is located at the foot of the Longwang Mountain Scenic Area in Huangzhou, adjacent to the world-renowned Dongpo Red Cliff. It covers an area of 17 mu, with a main building area of 3,700 square meters. The main structure has four floors and features a traditional Chinese "回" (square inside a square) style architecture.

On the south side of the main building is a hip-and-gable style porch, whose four square pillars are paved with black marble. There are 16 white curved steps leading down from the porch. In front of the main building is a lotus pond covering over 5 mu. At the southeast corner of the memorial hall’s wall stands a three-bay, double-eave, hip-and-gable style gate tower. To the east is the "Qiuguang Garden," and to the west is the "Chufeng Restaurant." On the east side of the main gate is embedded a black marble plaque with golden characters, inscribed with the name “Li Siguang Memorial Hall,” written by [a notable figure, name not translated as per rule 4].

Stepping into the front hall, visitors are greeted by a large tile mural over 30 square meters depicting the Great Wall. A portrait of Li Siguang stands directly beneath the mural. In the center of the main building is an octagonal fountain pool spanning more than 50 square meters.

The memorial hall houses 12 exhibition rooms. The second floor is dedicated to the memorial exhibition of the distinguished Chinese scientist Li Siguang. The exhibition is divided into three major sections: "Diligent Study and Aspiration to Save the Nation," "The Challenging and Twisting Path of Science," and "Shouldering Heavy Responsibilities and Devoting Himself Entirely." The displays feature a dynamic three-dimensional layout using aluminum alloy display racks, standing cabinets, and wall-mounted cases. They showcase a wealth of precious historical photos, mineral specimens, dinosaur fossil specimens, illustrations, publications, artifacts, calligraphy and paintings, and inscriptions, all bringing to life the brilliant life of Li Siguang.
