Peach Blossom Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Peach Blossom Pagoda

Located in Taohua Village, Yonghe Town, Hong’an County. Built during the Song Dynasty, it is also known as the “Great Temple Pagoda.” This hexagonal, seven-story pavilion-style brick-and-stone pagoda stands 14.85 meters tall. The base consists of a pier-shaped stone pedestal, and the body of the pagoda tapers slightly with each ascending level. The first to fifth stories feature corbelled eaves, beneath which bracket sets (dougong) are installed. The structure of each story is largely similar, with the first and second stories constructed of brick and stone, featuring hollow interiors and shrines. The third story and above are solid brick structures. The pagoda as a whole features a rational design and exquisite craftsmanship, making it an important physical artifact for the study of the evolution of pagoda architecture during the Tang and Song dynasties.
