Hong'an Dasheng Temple Pagoda is a cultural tourism attraction.

Dasheng Temple Pagoda is located on the site of the ancient Shuangcheng town at the riverside of Liulin River in Qiliping, Hong'an County, hence it is also known as Shuangcheng Pagoda.

According to county records, during the late Yuan Dynasty, leaders of the Red Turban Rebellion such as Grand Tutor Zou Pusheng of the Tianwan regime resided here, and the pagoda was built around that time. It was renovated in the 11th year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1872). The pagoda is constructed of brick, mimicking wooden structure, oriented east-west, and has a hexagonal plan with thirteen stories, standing nearly 40 meters tall. Its levels decrease progressively from the bottom up, and each level’s brackets, eaves, railings, doors, windows, and niches are all assembled from custom-made bricks using mortise-and-tenon joints, forming a tight and seamless fit. The decorative patterns above — including lotus petals, peonies, and double coins — are exquisitely crafted and thoughtfully arranged. The structure maintains balanced proportions, smooth tapering, a graceful form, and a solemn aura, reflecting the architectural style of the Song Dynasty. Inside, there is a spiral staircase leading to the top, offering panoramic views that captivate the spirit.
