The Milu City Ruins

The Milu City Ruins are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Hubei Province.

The Milu City Ruins

Located 1.5 km south of Fuli Temple in Miluchun Village, Lianghe Township, Dangyang City, these are Eastern Zhou Dynasty ruins. The site covers an area of about 40,000 square meters and has an oval-like layout. The city walls were built using rammed earth, with a base width of about 18 meters, a top width of 5–10 meters, and remaining height of 6 meters. There are gaps in both the southern and northern walls. Collected pottery fragments within the city are mainly gray clay pottery, followed by red sandy clay pottery, with a small amount of black clay pottery. Decorative patterns include rope patterns, string patterns, and applied ridge patterns. Artifacts include li tripods, yu basins, dou stemmed bowls, and guan jars. (Third Batch)
