Korean Cuchen and China Duty Free Group (CDFG, China Duty Free Group) officially signed a contract on May 30.

Established in 1984, China Duty Free Group is the only duty-free shop operated by the Chinese government, with over 190 stores across China, including in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Mr. Zheng Hao, Deputy Director of the Sales Department at China Duty Free Group, commented on this partnership: “We have long been very interested in rice cookers and have approached many related companies. Cuchen’s high-end image aligns perfectly with that of China Duty Free Group, making it the most suitable partner among many we have negotiated with. Ultimately, we selected Cuchen as our partner.” Starting today (June 16), Cuchen products are officially available at the duty-free shops of Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, Tianjin International Cruise Home Port, and Shenyang Xiantao International Airport. Travelers leaving the country can now purchase Cuchen rice cookers at these three locations. Additional sales points will also be added at duty-free shops in Manzhouli, Suifenhe, Hunchun, and Heihe in the future.

In recent years, the number of Chinese tourists traveling freely to South Korea has been increasing, and one of the popular shopping items for many Chinese visitors is Korean rice cookers. The entry of Cuchen products into China Duty Free Group’s duty-free shops provides great convenience for many Chinese who love Korean rice cookers and ensures higher product quality.

As a pioneer in the IH (Induction Heating) method for rice cookers, Cuchen brings high-quality rice cookers based on IH technology to Chinese consumers. It is also expected to expand its range by introducing other Cuchen products such as juicers and humidifiers to China.

Korean Hallyu superstar Jang Dong-gun, who is set to star in a new movie soon, is the brand ambassador for Cuchen. As the face of Cuchen, Jang Dong-gun fully embodies the concept of “a man who can cook.” Whether you’re a man or even someone who knows nothing about cooking, you can still make delicious food.

Meanwhile, Cuchen’s Weibo and Sina blog are also active, offering a variety of food information and frequently sharing classic Cuchen recipes. In addition, the Cuchen Weibo account regularly holds Weibo events every month and gives away Cuchen rice cookers as prizes, attracting a large number of Chinese fans and boosting the popularity of the Cuchen Weibo page.

Recently, Cuchen also entered Lotte Department Store in Shenyang as the store grandly opened. Domestic customers can now conveniently purchase Korean Cuchen rice cookers.

On the other hand, in April 2014, Midea Group (MIDEA), China’s largest home appliance company, signed a contract with Cuchen’s online general distributor agent for its Life Appliance Division. In May of the same year, Cuchen also entered UGO, one of China’s top three TV shopping platforms. Through collaboration, efforts are being made to promote Cuchen products in the Chinese market via TV shopping.
