The pursuit of a better life by people across the nation is our goal to strive for. With a super cultural tourism IP, we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. As the innovative leader of Hunan's TV industry, Hunan Metropolitan Channel integrates the Mango media ecosystem, collaborates with top-tier cultural tourism destinations worldwide, and forms the Mango Metropolitan Cultural Tourism Promotion Alliance. Making its debut, the alliance proudly launches the "I Am the Reddest Globally" series of themed events to globally promote the first cultural tourism destination on the Jianghan Plain — Hubei Xiantao Dream Water Town.

On February 28, the first "I Am the Reddest Globally" Mango Metropolitan & Xiantao Dream Water Town Cultural Tourism Alliance Global Promotion Conference was held at Hunan Broadcasting System. Leaders from the Xiantao Municipal Government, scenic area officials, and representatives from major travel agencies in Hunan and Hubei attended. Media outlets including Hunan Metropolitan, Hubei Economic TV, Xiantao TV, NetEase, Sina, Tencent, China News Service, and Lvmama all covered the event.

At the promotion conference, the Mango Metropolitan Cultural Tourism Alliance and the scenic area signed a deep cooperation agreement based on the integrated development of culture and tourism, jointly promoting high-quality tourism as a fundamental aspect of people's better lives.

Centered around the theme “The Unique Flavors of Xiantao, An Invitation from the Village Chief,” the "I Am the Reddest Globally" event will allow the public to deeply immerse themselves in the unique folk culture of the Jianghan region and the picturesque pastoral life of Dream Water Town through three major segments: the "Global Reddest Village Chief (or Reddest Island Chief) Selection," the "Global Reddest Fish King Feast – A Live Broadcast Linking Two Lakes," and the "Era’s Reddest – Village Chief Forum Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Nation."

Particularly noteworthy is the "Global Reddest Fish King Feast" on April 28, which will grandly debut via live television broadcast. Renowned chefs and home cooks from around the world will join forces to present a dazzling array of fish-cooking battles bursting with flavor. The scenic area’s world-record-breaking Giant Steamer, recognized by the World Guinness Records, will steam a hundred-pound Fish King live, treating thousands of visitors from across the country to a delicious feast.

Meanwhile, Li Rui, the nationally beloved "Star Village Chief" from the hit show "Where Are We Going, Dad?" also appeared at the promotion conference to lend his support. Together with leaders from the Xiantao Municipal Government, Hunan Metropolitan Channel, and the scenic area, he unveiled the golden key to officially launch the "Global Reddest Village Chief" selection contest, extending a warm invitation to the public to shine in the fairy-tale-like Dream Water Town and become the global reddest village chief.

Covering an area of over 5,000 acres, the Dream Water Town tourism complex is built around the original 10,000-acre waterlogged metasequoia forest of Zhaoxixiang Forest Farm in Xiantao. With “culture” as its soul, “forest” as its spirit, “agriculture” as its foundation, and “water” as its vein, it highlights a plains water town culture themed around “nostalgia,” recreating traditional pastoral scenes. The scenic area includes ten distinctive functional zones such as Lotus Pond Village, Rural Wetlands, Qinzhouchapian, and Wild Luxury Holiday Camp, featuring twelve major tourism highlights including the Water Forest, Jiǔwǔ zhì Zhēng (Steam Delights), and Forest Wellness Hot Springs — making it a groundbreaking addition to Jianghan Plain tourism.

Currently, the scenic area has completed and opened to the public Lotus Pond Village, Rural Wetlands, Qinzhouchapian, the water amusement area, Starry Sky Tent Camp, boutique hotels, and container hotels. The implementation of a facial recognition system has enhanced visitor comfort. In 2019, attractions such as the Agricultural Disney, Joy Restaurant, and Forest Wellness Hot Springs will successively open, along with unique nighttime experiences like a private party venue, art bars, and starry sky camps. The scenic area has become a year-round, all-age travel and leisure destination.

It is reported that the scenic area will also host the first China Rural Music Festival in the second half of the year, continuously enhancing its cultural quality, enriching the cultural experience for visitors, and gradually building itself into a tourism complex with international standards.
