The former site of the Hubei Provincial Special Committee is a cultural heritage site protected by Hubei Province and a classic red tourism attraction.

Former Site of the Hubei Provincial Special Committee

Located 400 meters east of Fenghuang Village, Zhanggou Town, Xiantao City. In September 1927, the headquarters of the Hubei Provincial Special Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was based here, and a meeting was convened to implement the directives of the CCP’s “August 7th Meeting,” during which the Autumn Harvest Uprising Plan for the Hubei District was developed. The site measures 11 meters in width and 10 meters in depth, with a brick-and-wood structure, flush gable walls, and a tiled roof. The interior features wooden panel partitions. In 1987, the local government erected a 12-meter-high memorial monument in front of the site. (Third Batch)
