Baofeng County Science and Technology Museum is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Baofeng Science and Technology Museum is the first science museum in Pingdingshan City. Located at the intersection of Keji Road and Shanhe Road in the county town, it is adjacent to Longxing Lake Park. The museum covers a total area of 6,111 square meters, with an indoor exhibition space of 3,600 square meters and an outdoor exhibition space of 1,200 square meters. The building has four floors and centers around the theme of "Experiencing Science, Showcasing Baofeng’s Features, Inspiring Innovation, and Leading the Future." It is a new-type science museum that deeply integrates nature, science, society, humanities, and art, offering unique experiences. At the same time, it serves as an urban science and technology leisure tourism center, a science and technology information exchange hub, an off-campus second classroom training base, and a youth science education experience site.

The second floor is the main exhibition hall, themed “Science and Exploration,” and is divided into nine exhibition areas including the Preface Hall, Mechanical Wonders, Mathematical and Physical Mysteries, and Sound, Light, Electricity, and Magnetism. The first floor primarily showcases “The Mysteries of Life,” divided into four modules: Understanding Ourselves, Healthy Living, Beautiful Homeland, and Aerospace. The basement level displays ancient techniques such as the brewing of Yidi Wine and Baofeng Wine, cutting-edge technologies like ultra-pure new materials and silicon carbide products, as well as a Scientific Disaster Prevention Training Camp. The third floor is a science popularization cinema.

Baofeng Science and Technology Museum is positioned as a public welfare-oriented and high-end facility, with the purpose of exchange and sharing. It aims to convey the spirit of science and academic thought to the public, as well as to disseminate knowledge about science, technology, and the humanities. Within this mysterious scientific environment, the universe and nature no longer feel out of reach, and all things in the world are no longer seen as eternal and unchanging.
