Nanguan Street in Shangcheng County, Henan Province, is an old commercial street approximately 280 meters long. It preserves a relatively intact architectural complex of shops and residential buildings from the late Qing Dynasty, primarily constructed with blue bricks, gray tiles, and hard mountain-style timber-framed brick structures, holding significant cultural relic value. In 2008, the People’s Government of Henan Province designated the “Nanguan Street Residential Houses” as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units, including 53 individual heritage buildings and 4 courtyards, while also demarcating and announcing their protected areas and construction control zones.
