Erlongshan Temple

Erlongshan Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Anyang County.

Erlongshan Temple, located to the south of Xiabao Village in Xujia Valley Township, was renovated in the sixth year of the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty (1572), according to inscriptions on stone tablets. It underwent subsequent restorations during the Qing Dynasty and the Republican era. The temple currently houses eight stone tablets, including those from the sixth year of the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty (1572), the forty-seventh year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1782), the twenty-third year of the Jiaqing era (1818), the first year of the Guangxu era (1875), and the 22nd year of the Republic of China (1933). The inscriptions record the construction of the temple and legends about Wang Zhicheng attaining immortality. Most of the temple’s roof has been destroyed. It is designated as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.
