Head west from the Matoujian Township Government, and you’ll arrive at Fenghuanggang Ecological Park in Matoujian Town, Long’an District. Covering an area of over 1,200 acres, it gets its name from its phoenix-like terrain, a thousand-year-old Phoenix Cypress, Phoenix Stone, and a century-old ancient temple. The area features hilly landforms that are part of the Taihang Mountain range, with an elevation of 218 meters. It enjoys distinct seasons and a mild climate, with an average annual temperature of 12.8℃.

Fenghuanggang Ecological Park boasts beautiful scenery and unique natural and cultural landscapes. With a rich combination of natural and human landscapes, it features century-old temples, thousand-year-old cypresses, picturesque mountains and clear waters, as well as fragrant flowers and fruits. With 90% forest coverage and hundreds of acres of water surrounding the base of the hill, it has been designated as a municipal forest park by the Anyang Forestry Bureau. After years of dedicated efforts, the ecological environment of Fenghuanggang has been completely revitalized. Fenghuanggang Ecological Park is the only pristine ecological park in the suburbs of Anyang, located just 15 kilometers from the city center.
