Former Site of the Revolutionary Base Area of the Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region

The Former Site of the Revolutionary Base Area of the Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, and a classic red tourism destination.

Henan Province, Fan County and Qingfeng County. In 1940, the district committee and military region of the Revolutionary Base Area of the Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region were established in Qingfeng County. In May 1944, the Southern Hebei District Committee was incorporated to form the Plains Sub-bureau. In August of the same year, the sub-bureau moved to Shanguai Village, about 15 kilometers southeast of Qingfeng County town. The former site of the sub-bureau has been demolished, and now only the former headquarters of the Ji-Lu-Yu Military Region remains. It is a traditional quadrangle courtyard facing west, with the three-room eastern wing serving as the headquarters at that time. The two-room tiled southern wing was the former residence of Yang Yong. Deng Xiaoping’s former residence is located on the south side of the central road of the east-west main street. The original three-room building has been demolished, leaving only the brick-arched gate.
