Tea oil is a refined oil extracted from the fruit of the oil-tea camellia tree. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, glycerides, and various vitamins, it offers benefits such as clearing heat and reducing inflammation, improving liver and eye health, and promoting longevity. In recent years, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has listed tea oil as a key healthy edible oil for promotion. In China, tea oil is hailed as the “Oriental olive oil” and holds broad market prospects.
In recent years, Ganzhou City has turned its attention to the promising oil-tea industry: in April 2010, Ganzhou repurchased the “Gannan Tea Oil” trademark, which had been preemptively registered; in 2011, it applied for the registration of the national geographical indication certification trademark for “Gannan Tea Oil”; in 2012, the “Gannan Tea Oil” quality inspection center was established; and in 2013, all processing and sales enterprises began using the unified “Gannan Tea Oil” brand. The development of “Gannan Tea Oil” is ushering in a new chapter of collective market entry and collaborative growth.
