Emperor Xianfeng Tea is a specialty of Xianfeng County, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province. Xianfeng County has been renowned for producing high-quality tea since ancient times and is one of the most prestigious tea-producing regions in the Wuling Mountain area. Emperor Xianfeng Tea has been awarded a National Geographical Indication Certification trademark.

Xianfeng County has been famous for its premium teas since ancient times and is one of the most well-known tea-producing areas in the Wuling Mountain region. In 2010, the county successfully established a national standardized production base for green food (tea) raw materials, and in February 2011, it became the first organic agriculture (tea) demonstration base in China to pass the national assessment and acceptance. In recent years, Xianfeng County has accelerated the development of its tea bases. By the end of 2012, the retained tea planting area reached 123,000 mu, with an annual processing capacity of 5,200 tons of dried tea, generating an output value of 330 million yuan. It has grown into a characteristic pillar industry that boosts farmers' incomes. On this basis, Xianfeng County has adopted measures such as brand integration, strict brand inspection, brand certification, brand promotion, and brand protection to build the public brand “Emperor Xianfeng Tea.”

In 2013, the “Emperor Xianfeng Tea” was recognized by the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce as a China National Geographical Indication Certification trademark.
