The Wangwu Reservoir Natural Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Longkou City Wangwu Reservoir Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Longkou City on the Jiaodong Peninsula. It offers a wonderful place for sightseeing and is known as the "high gorges and flat lake." It was rated as a National Water Conservancy Scenic Area in 2013.

As you enter the reservoir scenic area, the first sight is the dam lying like a giant dragon across the mountains, holding back vast expanses of blue water. The clear reservoir water laps against the embankment, resembling the ebb and flow of ocean tides, and the majestic aura of humanity conquering nature is truly awe-inspiring. From the top of the dam, one can gaze out at the misty, boundless waters where sky and water merge, speedboats plowing through layers of waves, flocks of water birds soaring overhead, and the charm of mountain and water scenery filling the air, instantly making one feel an open and uplifted spirit. In spring, the flowers on Wangwu Mountain bloom in vibrant colors, especially the pear blossoms that cover the hillsides layer upon layer like piles of snow. Among the sea of flowers, a few touches of peach blossom add contrast—making the white appear even more elegant and the red even more delicate. The green grass on the dam slopes and the tender yellow of willow catkins by the water, along with fish and shrimp playing in the water, create a delightful scene. In summer, frogs croak and cicadas sing by the water, kingfishers spread their wings in flight, swallows dart through the willow branches, and egrets soar straight into the blue sky. In late autumn, the mountains and ridges are painted with layers of colorful foliage, with maple leaves blazing red, branches heavy with fruit, and chrysanthemums in full bloom. Flocks of southbound wild geese gather here to play in the water, adding a touch of charm to the autumn scenery of the scenic area. In winter, it becomes a haven for wild ducks, and the frozen, jade-like, snow-laden pine trees of the reservoir area present a winter scene that is truly captivating and unforgettable.

Invested and built by the Longkou Xinglong Grape Professional Cooperative, it covers a construction area of 15,000 square meters with a total investment of 200 million yuan, integrating a wine castle, scientific research, sightseeing, and leisure. The underground wine cellar spans 11,000 square meters and is used for storing wine. The above-ground construction area is 4,000 square meters, mainly featuring three functions: displaying advanced organic wine production processes, showcasing the Weilong corporate culture and wine culture, and providing eco-culinary dining and organic wine tasting experiences. Relying on the beautiful scenery of Wangwu Reservoir, an investment of 50 million yuan was made to build the Weilong International Photography Base, which not only provides photography enthusiasts with excellent spots for taking pictures but also enhances the overall tourist experience.
