Tianjin North News:The widespread snowfall across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has brought forward the ticket booking season for ski resorts, which normally begins in December each year. Currently, ski resort bookings in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area are mainly available in three regions: the mountainous ski resorts in Jixian County of this city, some mountainous ski resorts in northern Beijing, and some ski resorts in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. There are two ways to enjoy ski tourism: group ski tours and self-drive ski trips.
Yesterday, a reporter from a well-known e-commerce travel website found that the three major ski resorts in Jixian County of this city have started accepting bookings. The cheapest option is 68 yuan per person for a round-trip group tour, which only includes the entrance ticket and round-trip bus fare, while ski equipment rental within the resort must be paid for separately. For self-drive trips, the price is 184 yuan per person at Beijing Junshan Ski Resort, and 188 yuan per person for a two-day self-drive trip to Zhangjiakou Changling Ski Resort in Hebei Province.
To extend the ski tourism industry chain, some ski resorts have also partnered with hot spring resorts, ice lantern scenic areas, and high-end hotels to offer bundled packages, typically priced between 300 yuan and 600 yuan per person. For example, “Jixian Yulong Ski Resort + Dijing Hot Spring” is 360 yuan per person; “Beijing Yanqing Ski Resort + Longqingxia Ice Lanterns + Badaling Hot Spring” is 403 yuan per person; and “Zhangjiakou Yunding Ski Resort in Hebei Province + Luxury Hotel” is 579 yuan per person.
Industry insiders suggest that if you’re going skiing alone, you might consider self-driving or joining a group tour for a day trip to avoid high spending at other scenic areas. In addition, skiers must be in good health — people with heart disease, high blood pressure, or other conditions that make strenuous activity inadvisable are strictly prohibited from skiing. Skiing under the influence of alcohol also carries significant risks. To ensure personal safety, experts also recommend that skiers consider purchasing relevant insurance.
