Xingtanggou Scenic Area

Xingtanggou Scenic Area is located two kilometers northwest of Shennan Township, Shunping County, Baoding City. It can be reached by turning from Baofu Road onto Shunshen Road, about 60 kilometers from Baoding City, making it an ideal destination for tourism and leisure. Originally a sacred Taoist site, the scenic area stretches over 10 li in length. The valley is covered with wildflowers, bustling with bees and butterflies, dense with lush trees, and alive with birdsong and cicada chirps. A variety of wild fruits are within easy reach. The valley stream flows gently year-round, dotted with cascading waterfalls and deep pools, all with crystal-clear waters where fish and shrimp can be seen. Deep within the valley lie multiple historical remnants, including a Buddhist temple, a nunnery, bell and drum towers, a stupa, and stone inscriptions from the Song Dynasty.
