Baiyintuo Provincial Forest Park is located in Shen Nan Township, Shunping County. It borders Longtan Lake to the west and lies at the heart of Beijing, Tianjin, and Shijiazhuang, approximately 60 kilometers from downtown Baoding and 50 kilometers from Shunping County. Baiyintuo is the first high-altitude mountainous area in the Taihang Mountain Range in the northwest of Baoding, with elevations ranging from 520 meters to 1,008 meters. The park boasts abundant plant resources, with a forest coverage rate of 79.1%. It is home to 102 families and 298 genera of vascular plants, creating a forest ecological landscape primarily characterized by spring blossoms, summer shade, and autumn foliage. The park features unique natural landscapes such as Tiānyún Gorge, Shihu Gorge, pothole clusters, Guīzǐ Mountain (Turtle Return Mountain), Yàdāng Mountain, Rǔmǔ Mountain, Jīguān Mountain, Niángniáng Cave, and Sleeping Beauty Hill. Within the park, there are also 2-billion-year-old glacial bed remnants, 1.7-billion-year-old algal fossils, and the rare sight of 1-million-year-old potholes — a geological wonder unique to North China.

The park covers a total area of 4,300 hectares and consists of four gullies: Yongxing Gully, Huai Shuqing Gully, Daoshi Guan Gully, and Putao Gully. It is densely forested, rich in water resources, and enjoys a pleasant climate. The park is abundant in medicinal plants, including over a hundred varieties such as Salvia miltiorrhiza, Adenophora, and Anemarrhena, making it a natural treasure trove of traditional Chinese herbs. Cultural heritage sites include an official silver mine from the Ming Dynasty, the Guan Yu Temple, and the ruins of the Baiyun Taoist Temple from the Qing Dynasty. Red culture memorial sites include the Jin-Cha-Ji Rear Hospital, munitions factory, uniform factory, medical supplies factory, bank ruins, and the memorial site where students and martyrs from the Bai School perished.
