The Site of the Yechang Massacre is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Site of the Yechang Massacre is located in Shigou, Yechang Village, Dabei Township, Shunping County. On February 7, 2001, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the People's Government of Hebei Province.

In 1943, Japanese invaders during their occupation of China placed a bayonet at the neck of Wang Pu, a 14-year-old boy, and threatened him to reveal the hiding place of the Eighth Route Army’s ammunition depot. With a resounding voice, Wang Pu shouted, “I’d rather die than be a traitor.” The brutal soldiers opened fire, massacring 118 innocent civilians including Wang Pu, in what became the horrific “Yechang Massacre.”

Yechang Village: Yechang Village is under the jurisdiction of Dabei Township, with a total of 131 households and 328 residents. The village has 524 mu of arable land, including 102 mu of irrigated land and 422 mu of dry land, along with 1,550 mu of mountainous area.
