Shiwu Gorge

Shiwu Gorge is located 15 kilometers southeast of Laiyuan County. It is characterized by high mountain valleys and stream-waterfall landscapes, forming a valley on the western foothills of the Baishi Mountain. Spring water gushes from an altitude of 1,400 meters, flowing among the giant rocks in the gorge, cascading into waterfalls and pooling into ponds. There are over ten large and small waterfalls, each with its own unique features. The valley is flanked by steep mountain cliffs and scattered with peculiar rocks. Among them, the Twin Dragons Waterfall has a drop of over 50 meters. After the first cascade falls into the pool, it turns 90 degrees and plunges again, creating a graceful and distinctive form. The Colorful Slope is ablaze with reds, oranges, yellows, and greens, as the forested slopes are dyed in vibrant hues.
