The Memorial Museum of the Work-Study Movement in France is a patriotic education base.

The Memorial Museum of the Work-Study Movement in France is located at No. 51, Jintaiyi Street, Baoding City (the former site of Yude Middle School). Covering an area of 2,400 square meters with a construction area of 1,100 square meters, it is a typical quadrangle courtyard structure built with brick and wood during the late Qing Dynasty. Baoding is the birthplace of the Work-Study Movement in France. The main advocate and leader of the movement, Mr. Li Shizeng, was a native of Gaoyang County, Baoding. Yude Middle School in Baoding was the first to establish a preparatory class for studying in France, and parts of the original Yude Middle School site are still preserved. A large amount of historical material and cultural relics related to the Work-Study Movement in France have been collected in Baoding. For this reason, the Central Committee approved the establishment of the Memorial Museum of the Work-Study Movement in France on the former site of Yude Middle School in Baoding, Hebei Province in 1983. In June 1992, the General Secretary of the Central Committee inscribed the name of the museum. In September 1994, the museum was designated as an “Hebei Provincial Patriotic Education Base” by the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Central Committee and the People's Government of Hebei Province.

The Work-Study Movement in France, which emerged during the May Fourth Period, had a significant impact on the spread of Marxism-Leninism in China, the establishment and development of the Chinese Communist Party and New China, the victory of the Chinese people's struggle against imperialism and feudalism, and the introduction of advanced Western science and technology.

Promoting and studying the glorious achievements of veteran proletarian revolutionaries such as Cai Hesen, Zhao Shiyan, -, Li Weihan, Li Fuchun, Chen Yi, Nie Rongzhen, Wang Ruofei, Fu Zhong, Cai Chang, He Changgong, as well as Comrade -, the chief architect of China's reform and opening-up, during their time in the Work-Study Movement in France holds profound practical significance for deepening reforms, expanding openness, promoting development, and revitalizing China.
