Kaohsiung’s featured parks are gradually emerging, such asLotus Pond Children’s Park,Golden Lion Lake Park(seeKaohsiung Featured Parks Quick Guide). Beyond these special parks, elementary school playgrounds are also placing greater emphasis on unique and challenging play equipment. For example,Zhengyi Elementary School’s little hill is truly impressive, and the newly renovated playground at Heti Elementary School is also an eye-opener!
Heti Elementary School is located next to Heti Library. Vehicles can be parked inside the library, but please pay attention to the library’s opening hours to avoid being unable to retrieve your car.

Newly built elementary schools are all so beautiful—they have much more design flair compared to the ones I attended as a child (sigh~)
Heti Elementary School’s children’s playground is suitable for toddlers aged 2–5. One of its rules, “Stay focused and accompany your child,” is amusing—it would be even more fitting if a phone were drawn on it.
Most slides are made of plastic, but Heti Elementary’s slide is wooden and has no stairs, designed instead with a climbing frame to increase the challenge. Add some ropes, and it becomes an urban Tarzan course.
In the middle is a secret passage.
The slide has a fairly steep slope, but its surface uses non-slip material, making it both fun and safe.

No space is wasted—the fence is equipped with a climbing frame, adding another play feature.
Most parks or schools have sandpits but lack sunshades. In summer, the sand gets too hot to play in, but Heti Elementary’s sunshade design is very thoughtful.
Besides free-form sand play, there’s also a flower-shaped sand table nearby, which is both attractive and fun.
The sink’s faucet has two heights, making it convenient for both handwashing and footwashing.
Although the area of Heti Elementary School’s children’s playground is not large, it has a full range of play equipment. There are gentle sandpits, as well as more challenging features like triangular prism climbing nets, rock climbing walls, spinning chairs that test balance—all to meet the needs of kids of different ages.
Elementary schools are becoming more colorful. Beyond colorful running tracks, basketball courts are no longer just a single color either. This change is absolutely wonderful!
