Baoding Botanical Garden

Baoding Botanical Garden was expanded from the former Hongqi Nursery. It borders Huanghua Gully to the south, Han Village North Road to the west, and is 500 meters from the North Outer Ring Road, covering a total area of 110 hectares. The garden adopts a natural layout overall, with roads dividing functional areas and plants defining spaces. Pathways separate various sections into multiple touring units, while certain areas use formal layouts adorned with flower belts and flower stands to enhance the environment. The entire garden features plant landscapes as its main highlight, primarily showcasing the forms of various plants and the collective beauty of diverse plant combinations. It emphasizes the principles of building a garden with plants, ecology, and culture at its core.

The botanical garden mainly consists of 15 functional areas: the Main Gate Plaza, Garden Avenue, Greenhouse Area, Lawn Garden, Spring Flower Garden, Autumn Color Garden, Bonsai Garden, Arboretum, Bamboo Garden, Rock and Aquatic Plant Area, Medicinal and Tuberous Perennial Flower Garden, Management Service Area, Introduction and Acclimatization Area, Visitor Center, Couple’s Garden, and Stadium. It is a comprehensive garden that integrates science education, leisure, and entertainment, fully reflecting plant landscapes, local culture, and ecological effects, and characterized by an "urban forest."
