Han Dian Hehe Wetland Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Han Dian Hehe Wetland Park (Han Dian Town Liuliu River Artificial Wetland Ecological Restoration Project) is located west of the Liuliu River and north of the Ma Sigang River in Han Dian Town, Zouping County (about 1.5 kilometers north after passing the Xiao Zhen intersection, with a clear sign at the bridgehead of the Ma Sigang River). This project further purifies reclaimed water from the Zouping County Urban Sewage Treatment Plant and restores the ecological water environment along the river. It is a project under China’s National Key Basin Water Pollution Prevention and Control Plan and also a concrete measure to implement the comprehensive management system of “treatment, utilization, and protection.” With a total investment of 180 million yuan, the planned area covers approximately 1,260 mu, and the designed treatment capacity is 60,000 tons per day. It connects and runs through rivers such as the Liuliu River and Ma Sigang River, using two culvert sluice gates to control the flow direction and water level of the wetland. The treated water discharged daily from the Zouping County Sewage Treatment Plant is channeled into the wetland. By planting aquatic plants such as cattail, yellow flag iris, reed, and giant reed within the wetland, the water quality is further purified, achieving ecological restoration of the surrounding water environment. This project is scheduled to officially commence operation in mid-2015.

The project primarily adopts the process of “river ecological retention ponds + two-stage composite subsurface flow wetlands + ecological stabilization ponds” as the main technology, constructing a pretreatment system and an artificial subsurface flow wetland treatment system. The treated water meets Class III surface water standards. The project scientifically integrates water quality improvement, ecological restoration, and landscape design, striving to create a scenic wetland park that combines water purification with tourism, sightseeing, and leisure activities. While building a beautiful ecological environment, the project is also dedicated to enhancing the cultural depth of the site, aiming to develop it into an environmental-themed park for Zouping County. The park features a science education corridor covering a total area of 1,400 square meters, consisting of three sections: Journey of Memory, Glorious Imprint, and Green Future. The entire corridor is richly illustrated, combining scientific accuracy, educational value, and entertainment to allow visitors to learn about environmental knowledge while enjoying the scenery, promoting the ecological concept of everyone participating in environmental protection to build a better life together.
