The Sakura Mountain Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Sakura Mountain Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in the southern mountainous region of Zouping County and was built based on a soil erosion control project. Covering an area of 2.4 square kilometers, including 0.27 square kilometers of water surface, it is classified as a soil and water conservation-oriented water conservancy scenic area.

The scenic area is designed with the concept of “protecting ecology, returning to nature, and enjoying greenery,” integrating “mountains, water, and forests” to form an ecological water system where five lakes are interconnected. It establishes an ecological water conservation framework that features “mountains as the skeleton, rivers as the veins, greenery as the body, and water as the soul.” The area serves multiple functions such as sightseeing, leisure, vacationing, and science education, making it an ideal leisure destination for local residents and an educational base for water conservancy science among primary and secondary school students. It is now a national-level soil and water conservation science and technology demonstration park.
