Lushui Site

Lushui Site

The Lushui Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Zouping County.

The Lushui Site is located in Lushui Village, Xidong Town, Zouping County, covering an area of 7,696 square meters with a cultural deposit about 2 meters thick. Artifacts from the Longshan Culture include tripod feet, ring-footed dishes, and stone axes; Shang Dynasty relics consist of li tripods and gui food vessels; while Han Dynasty remains are mostly fabric-patterned roof tiles. The site boasts rich cultural content and holds significant value for studying the social life of the time. At the same time, it enriches research on the Neolithic culture of the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, helps establish a more complete cultural evolution sequence, and provides physical materials for exploring environmental changes at sites in the middle and lower Yellow River region. In 1994, it was designated as part of the third batch of key cultural heritage protection units in Zouping County (document Zou Zheng Fa [1994] No. 98).
