Liying Li Family Ancestral Hall

The Liying Li Family Ancestral Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Zouping County.

The Li Family Ancestral Hall is located in Liying Village, Haosheng Town, and is a Qing Dynasty ancestral hall. Research indicates that it was built by Li Huaxi, Minister of Punishments in the early Qing Dynasty, for his family. It consists of a three-courtyard layout structure made up of the main gate, south wing rooms, and west rooms, with currently three rows and nine rooms remaining. The buildings face east and are single-eaved, flush-gable roof structures. In the first row of rooms, the southern and northern walls are inlaid with six stone tablets inscribed with poems by Huang Tingjian copied by Emperor Kangxi, while the western wall of the north room features an imperial calligraphy tablet inscribed with the characters “Qing Shen” (meaning “pure and prudent”) by Emperor Kangxi, as well as two other tablets with blurred and barely legible inscriptions. The site holds significant historical and artistic value. In 2001, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of key cultural relic protection units in Zouping County (Document No. Zou Zheng Fa [2001] 64).
