Gao Xiao Ancestral Hall

Gao Xiao Ancestral Hall is located in Hongmiao Village, Linchi Town, commonly known as Laogu Temple or Hongmiao. It is a memorial hall built during the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty to honor the filial daughter Gao Zhi. The hall faces south and directly overlooks the mouth of the Fenghuang Mountain valley. After multiple renovations, it has evolved into a compact ancient architectural complex with a rigorous structure and logical layout. It is divided into east and west courtyards, with main structures including the Main Hall, Ejiang Jiji Tower, and Wenchang Pavilion. Covering an area of 615.6 square meters, the entire building features blue bricks and green tiles, exuding an antique charm with a strong Ming and Qing architectural style, making it highly valuable for preservation. In 2001, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of Key Cultural Relics Protection Units in Zouping County (Document No. Zou Zheng Fa [2001] 64).
