Jinan Du Kang Spring

Du Kang Spring, also known as North Cooked Kang Spring, is located northwest of Baotu Spring. It was buried in 1994 and restored in 1999. The current spring pool is built with block stones in a rectangular shape, measuring 2.4 meters in length and 2 meters in width, surrounded by railings, and connected to Dengzhou Spring to the south.

Du Kang Spring (also known as North Cooked Kang Spring) is one of Jinan’s 72 Famous Springs, listed in both the Jin Dynasty’s "Famous Springs Stele" and the Ming Dynasty’s "Poems on the Seventy-Two Famous Springs." Legend has it that the spring was named after the wine god Du Kang, who once set up a pot here to make wine. With its abundant and clear sweet water, it was once chosen as drinking water by local residents. It was buried in 1994 and restored in August 1997. Today, the spring pool measures 2.4 meters in length and 2 meters in width, with natural stones lining the bank. To the south, it connects to a well-shaped spring pool, above which stands a pavilion with a wooden plaque inscribed “Du Kang Spring.”
