Zhaoying Spring

Zhaoying Spring in Jinan is also known as Zhaoying Lake and commonly called Wangfu Pond. It is located on the west side of the middle section of Wangfu Pond Street. The spring is 30 meters long and 19 meters wide, with stone-lined banks. During the high-water season, the spring is in excellent condition, featuring dozens of springs where water gushes out like pearls, endlessly and continuously. The spring water forms a stream that meanders northward along the Qu Shui River to the northwest, passes under Qifeng Bridge, flows through Baihua Islet, and empties into Daming Lake. In April 2004, it was designated as one of Jinan’s Seventy-Two Famous Springs, ranking 19th. Zhaoying Spring was once listed among the Seventy-Two Famous Springs of the Jin, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
