Former Residences of Shu Tong, Chao Zhefu, and Li Yu’ang

The former residences of Shu Tong, Chao Zhefu, and Li Yu’ang are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shandong Province.

The former residences of Shu Tong, Chao Zhefu, and Li Yu’ang are located in Baotuquan Subdistrict, Lixia District, Jinan City, dating back to the Republic of China period.

On June 23, 2015, the former residences of Shu Tong, Chao Zhefu, and Li Yu’ang were designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Shandong Province.

Baotuquan Subdistrict: The Baotuquan Subdistrict Office is situated in the city center. Established in December 1962, it was named after the famous Baotu Spring within its jurisdiction. It borders Huan Cheng Park to the north, the Municipal Party School, Nanzhao Guesthouse, and Shandong Building to the south, Chaoshan Street and Shungeng Road to the east, and connects to Shizhong District via Nanxin Street to the west. Covering a total area of 1.64 square kilometers, it governs four community residential committees, with 10,385 households and a total population of 42,631. The birth rate is 4.8‰, and the natural growth rate is 0.51‰. The subdistrict hosts over 600 institutions, including central, provincial, and municipal government offices, colleges and universities, as well as enterprises and public institutions.
