Heishi Village, Geshi Town

Heishi Village is located in the eastern part of Geshi Town, Ningyang County, with a population of 4,083, 1,001 households, and 6,020 mu of arable land. The villagers mainly grow jujubes. In 2011, the per capita income was 8,000 yuan. Thanks to the high quality of its jujubes, the village is widely known as a hometown of premium jujubes. In recent years, the village has vigorously implemented comprehensive eco-tourism development. It has planned and built "Good Luck Jujube Garden," a jujube orchard covering more than 1,000 mu with 80,000 mature jujube trees. The main varieties in the garden include Yuanhong, Changhong, Suanling, and Liuyuexian, with an annual output of 16 million jin and an annual output value of 80 million yuan. Heishi Village has made full use of the China Ningyang Jujube Culture Festival to organize a variety of tourism activities, attracting 400,000 visitors annually and generating a total tourism revenue of 60 million yuan.
