The Ningyang Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Ningyang Martyrs' Cemetery covers an area of 150 mu. It is rectangular in shape, measuring 219 meters from east to west and 469 meters from north to south. It consists of three functional areas: the exhibition area, the tomb area, and the pagoda forest area. Major facilities include martyrs' tombs, a martyrs' memorial square, a martyrs' memorial monument, a martyrs' memorial wall, an exhibition room showcasing martyrs' deeds, and office buildings for cemetery management. The monument stands 38.7 meters tall, symbolizing the establishment of the county's first Party branch in July 1938. The squares in front of the memorial hall, the memorial hall square, the memorial square, the tribute square, and the monument square are all spacious with wide views, capable of accommodating 8,000 people for commemorative events simultaneously. There are 480 martyrs' tombs built in the cemetery.

The monument, martyrs' tombs, and exhibition hall are the main educational venues of the cemetery. The monument is used for wreath-laying ceremonies; the martyrs' tombs are suitable for flower offerings and memorial ceremonies; and the exhibition hall is an indispensable site for patriotic education, divided into eastern and western sections. The eastern exhibition hall focuses on the history of the Communist Party in Ningyang, displaying the historical facts of how, from the establishment of the Party organization during the Anti-Japanese War to the period of socialist construction after the founding of the People’s Republic, the cadres and masses of Ningyang, under the leadership of the Communist Party, carried out revolutionary struggles and moved from victory to victory. The western exhibition hall mainly showcases the stories of 1,199 martyrs from the periods of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Anti-Japanese War, the Liberation War, and the peaceful construction era. It also extends to highlight key figures who left revolutionary footprints in Ningyang and major events in the county’s history.

Currently, the Ningyang Martyrs' Cemetery is a martyr memorial facility protection unit and a patriotic education base of Tai'an City. It has become a patriotic education base that integrates martyr commemoration, publicity and education, and tourism.
