Dakuang Water Pumping Station is located in Gangcheng Town, Ningyang County, and was built in 1978.

On June 23, 2015, Dakuang Water Pumping Station was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

The town covers a total area of 11,826.7 hectares, governs 63 administrative villages, and has a population of 83,000.
