Han Tomb in Panmao Village

The Han Tomb in Panmao Village is a burial site from the Han Dynasty. It is located north of Panmao Village, Dongshu Town, Ningyang County. The mound was rammed earth, with a diameter of about 30 meters and a height of 6 meters, commonly known as the “Earth Mound.” Due to years of soil removal by villagers, it has been leveled and turned into an orchard. In 1954, a brick tomb with interlocking bricks was discovered 2 meters below the surface, yielding two gold-and-silver inlaid chariot wheel hubs, three gold-and-silver inlaid copper ornaments, ironware, and more. Scattered across the surrounding surface are remnants of Han Dynasty roof tiles, including flat tiles and tubular tiles, as well as fragments of “Long Live for Ten Thousand Years” tiles, gray pottery jars, and plates.
