Longwantao Village, Jihexiang Subdistrict, is located in the southern part of Sishui County, covering an area of 890 mu, with a current population of 1,931. It lies to the east of Julong Mountain, to the west of Xijia Mountain, to the south of Longwantao Reservoir, and to the north of Shifo Village. The village enjoys a superior geographical location and well-developed transportation, being close to the Yanzhou-Shijiusuo Railway, -, Rizhao-Dongying Expressway, and Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway. It has a warm temperate continental monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 13.4°C and an average annual rainfall of 729 mm, offering a pleasant climate. The area boasts a sound ecological environment and abundant tourism resources, making it an ideal destination for leisure, fitness, fishing, fruit picking, relaxation, and experiencing rural charm. It attracts many tourists who come here specifically for its appeal.

Longwan Lake Scenic Area, located to the east of Sizhang Ecotourism Area and to the south of Nanyao Bay Scenic Area, is the source of the ancient Jih River, covering a total area of 2.38 square kilometers. The lake is vast, with mountains and water complementing each other, shimmering with phosphorescent light, and fish leaping through golden waves. At sunset, crimson ripples dance with the evening glow; as fishing boats return at dusk, clear waves ripple on the blue water—“Longwan Sunset” is breathtakingly beautiful and is hailed as one of the “Ten Scenic Spots of Sishui.”

By Longwan Lake lies Julong Mountain, said to be the second dragon palace of the Dragon King in legend. Originally named Ju Long Mountain, Julong Mountain winds and twists like a giant dragon coiled, which over time evolved into its current name. Additionally, the mountain has a unique shape; experts have identified it as a typical “Gù” type landform, and it strikingly resembles a dragon’s head, as if a giant dragon is coiled here, blessing the vast waters of Longwan Lake.

Surrounding Longwan Lake are also mysterious Yunlong Island, a thousand-year-old stone Buddha, a century-old Chinese honey locust tree, the uniquely built Longwan Stone Temple, the refreshing lotus by Bai Zhong Spring, the beautiful Butterfly Valley, the ancient residential architecture of the Su family, the ancient temple on Jian Mountain, and other attractions that draw visitors for sightseeing.

The most famous feature of the Longwan Lake area is the lakeside agritainment. In recent years, the villagers of Longwantao have fully leveraged the beautiful environment of the lake area and utilized existing resources to vigorously develop rural tourism. They established the Sishui County Shui Zai Yi Fang Rural Tourism Professional Cooperative, offering distinctive agritainment dining with ingredients sourced from wild chickens and fish from Julong Mountain and Longwantao Reservoir—all natural, green, and pollution-free. Especially the fish and shrimp from Longwan Lake, prepared with exquisite techniques and unique flavors, have earned high praise. At the same time, they also provide services such as fruit picking, fishing, and boat tours. To date, the development of agritainment around the lake area has reached a considerable scale, with nearly 20 establishments of various sizes. Among them, five agritainment spots—including Longwan Style Garden and Reservoir Family—have been awarded the title of “Shandong Province’s First Batch of Three-Star Agritainment,” attracting numerous visitors from surrounding areas each year for sightseeing and dining.

The Longwan Lake Scenic Area boasts a sound ecological environment, with green mountains, clear waters, blue skies, white clouds, and lush grassy lawns. In 2012, the Longwan Lake Provincial Wetland Park passed the inspection team's acceptance. The area is rich in resources, producing mineral water, sweet potatoes, peanuts, walnuts, apples, nectarines, peaches, wild fish, free-range chickens, and free-range sheep—local specialty tourism products. Coming to Longwan Lake, you can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains but also personally experience farming activities to relax and rejuvenate. Activities such as observing wild fish in Longwantao, lakeside fishing, lake fishing, eco-friendly planting, and leisure fruit picking allow visitors to personally engage in fishing, vegetable planting, and fruit picking, enjoying the endless pleasures brought by the water town and pastoral life.
