Sishui Sixiayuan National Wetland Park

Sishui Sixiayuan National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

The Sixiayuan Wetland is located in the central and southern parts of Sishui County, covering the Sixiayuan Provincial Wetland Park, Longwan Lake Provincial Wetland Park, as well as resources such as the Jihe Wetland and Shengyuan Lake, with a total area of 2,439.28 hectares. It includes an ecological conservation zone, a restoration and reconstruction zone, a rational protection zone, an education and exhibition zone, and a management and service zone. According to a notice recently issued by the State Forestry Administration, pilot national wetland parks need to promptly establish management bodies, complete boundary demarcation and signage, establish and improve regulations and systems, gradually develop a safeguard mechanism for protection, management, and rational utilization, and protect the rights and interests of relevant stakeholders in accordance with the law. The management body of the wetland park should establish a science and technology advisory working group composed of experts from related disciplines for the pilot work, improve the scientific support mechanism, strengthen scientific research and monitoring efforts, and provide scientific guidance for the protection, construction, and management of the wetland park.
