Xianghu New Town Scenic Area

Xianghu New Town is located on the southern side of Nanchang City, just a dike away from Xianghu Park and only a ten-minute drive from the city center. It borders Xiongxi River to the east, Ganjiang River to the west, Donglian Road to the south, and Changnan Avenue to the north. With a planned control area of 22 square kilometers, it can accommodate a residential population of 300,000. The area is planned as a sub-center of the city that integrates high-end residential living, leisure and entertainment, and commercial services. It is an important part of Nanchang County’s efforts to advance the "Changnan Urban Development Strategy." Xianghu New Town is divided into an east-to-west layout of "one town, three zones," forming three functional areas: the zone between Xiongxi River and the old course of the Fu River is positioned as a residential living area with complete supporting facilities and a beautiful ecological environment; the area west of the old Fu River, extending along both sides of Dongxin Avenue, is designated as a public facility center primarily featuring large-scale public infrastructure such as municipal services, culture, sports, hospitals, and exhibition centers; the new urban area centered around Fusheng Road is planned as a comprehensive zone integrating residential living and commercial trade.
